SALLY ANCHETA​
Coalition Coordinator
Sally has been been active in leading efforts to reduce addiction and substance misuse for  20 years on Hawai'i Island. From 2002-2010 she was the Hawai'i Island Coordinator for the American Lung Association of Hawai'i  and brings a wealth of experience in tobacco prevention and control, as well as health education. From 2010-2022, she coordinated and led the Hawai'i Island Tobacco-Free Coalition, a program of the Hawai'i Public Health Institute (HIPHI).  She spearheaded the Raise the Age to 21 campaign, which raised the age of sale of all tobacco and vape products to age 21, in Hawai'i County. In 2015, she became co-coordinator for HIPHI's Healthy Eating+Active Living programs and is an active member of the Mayor's Active Living Advisory Council and on the Executive Board of Hilo Bayfront Trails.
In March 2022, she moved from being a member of East Hawai'i Drug-Free Coalition to leading our efforts as the Coordinator. She holds a BA from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo and has lived in East Hawai'i for over 35 years.

RICK COLLINS
Program Director
Rick Collins is a Cincinnati, Ohio native who has lived and worked in Hawaiʻi since 2003. He currently serves as the Director of the Maui Coalition for Drug-Free Youth. Rick’s career passion is in creating responsible drug and alcohol policies that keep youth safe and drug-free. He enjoys playing hockey, is a father of two and husband to one, and partakes in as many outdoor activities as time allows. Rick has an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University and a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Dayton. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Prevention Specialist.
